The beach is a lovely place for a pre-wedding photoshoot, and one of my favourite places to be, so I was pleased when Michael and Nikita opted for a beach location for their pre-wedding shoot.
Nikita and Michael opted to have a family photoshoot with their beautiful little daughter rather than a shoot for just the two of them as their pre-wedding photoshoot. As you can see, we had a lovely time down on the beach at Louisa bay, a pretty little beach just next to Broadstairs main beach.
Knowing how harsh the sun can be later in the day I prefer to shoot first thing in the morning, or later in the evening, when the light is softer and more flattering – particularly in the summer months, and thankfully Nikita, Michael and their little lady were up for an early start too! On this particular morning there was a light cloud cover, giving a beautifully soft light which just seemed to wrap around us, and we had the beach to ourselves – well, apart from the odd pigeon or two anyway!
A pre-wedding photoshoot is a great way for a couple and their photographer to get to know each other prior to the wedding, and for you to feel more comfortable with having your photo taken. I think all of my couples have been pleasantly surprised with just how much fun we actually have on their shoot, and I love being able to get to know you better prior to the wedding, as on the wedding day I find that you are much more relaxed with me and my camera! If you have young children then a pre-wedding photoshoot also provides them an opportunity to get to know me prior to the wedding as well, and as you can see from these photos, young Gracie needed no encouragement to go and have fun down on the beach.
You can see more of Michael and Nikita at their gorgeous wedding at the Pegwell Bay Hotel.
