I’m so pleased that Laura and Simon chose Kenilworth Castle for their pre-wedding engagement photography. Laura and Simon’s wedding was booked at Bleak House in Broadstairs, as Laura is from Thanet, so their pre-wedding photo shoot was an opportunity to have some photos in a location closer to home, that was also special to them.
Kenilworth Castle is such a gorgeous location, and well worth the drive from Margate! I’ve never really spent much time in Warwickshire, so this was a great opportunity to explore the area a little.
I absolutely love the rich warm colours of the stonework of this castle, and the impact that these colours have on the group of photos as a whole, and it beautifully illustrates how a location can influence the style of the photo shoot and the final finished images. The light was beautiful, and picked up the warmth of the stonework in a really gorgeous way. Laura and Simon were naturals in front of the camera, so they made my job of capturing some beautiful photos of them as a couple really easy. For those of you who are less comfortable in front of the camera, a pre-wedding, or engagement photography session is a great way to become more confident.
I shall be blogging their Broadstairs wedding at Bleak House shortly, so keep your eyes out for it.
