Having just been at Abbots Barton Hotel in Canterbury yesterday to exhibit at their Wedding Fayre, I thought I would blog about Haylee and Tony’s gorgeous wedding there which I photographed earlier in the summer.
Meeting and photographing Haylee and Tony’s beautiful summer wedding at Abbots Barton Hotel in Canterbury is probably one of the most whirlwind bookings of my life, and I have to say that I loved every minute of it!
Haylee and Tony first got in touch with me on the Tuesday before their wedding via the lovely ladies Amanda and Nikki of Thanetian Wedding and Events, as I’m also their recommended photographer. They were in the nightmare situation of having been let down at the very last minute by their own photographer. Luckily I was able to step into the breach, and we agreed to meet up for a chat about their wedding and to look around Abbots Barton together 2 days later so that I could put a plan together with them for their photography for the day.
Abbots Barton Hotel in Canterbury is a gorgeous venue for a wedding, and I knew from speaking to Haylee and Tony, and from Amanda and Nikki that it was going to be a beautiful wedding to photograph and I wasn’t disappointed!
Haylee and Tony tell me that they have been inseparable since their first date earlier this year, and the love between them was completely obvious to us all at their wedding, reducing most of us to tears as some point throughout the day! I knew it was going to be that kind of wedding when I walked in and went to pick up a long stemmed red rose from the floor of the hotel entrance way, only to be advised by the staff that I’d best leave it there, as Tony, being a total romantic, had left a trail of them to greet Haylee on her arrival at the hotel later that morning, so that she would know that he was thinking of her.
