I’ve really been looking forward to sharing these images with you because I had the best time with Beckey and Dave (and young Teddy too of course!) taking these, and I am so pleased with how they they came out. Like many couples who come to me for their pre-wedding shoot, Beckey and Dave were understandably nervous at first, so I started the shoot with them walking away from me a fair distance, and then walking back towards me to give them time to themselves, to just enjoy what is a very beautiful location, and to give them a chance to loosen up and relax. I totally understand that if you’ve never been out for a photo shoot before then it can feel very daunting to suddenly have a camera trained on your every move, so I look to find ways to ensure couples relax and have fun. Having Teddy the puppy along certainly helped in that respect, he’s just the cutest little character! Thankfully Beckey’s mum also came along to take charge of the little scamp once we’d tired him out!
There is something really romantic about evening light, and the chance to do a romantic engagement photo shoot at sunset, and on the beach too, felt a little like an early christmas present for me!
