When Vikki and Dave suggested they would like to have their pre-wedding shoot at the beach I couldn’t have been more happy. Having grown up in the city, I just adore living so close to the sea, and our beach hut is my favourite place to go and relax with a good book and an ice cold drink. Dave chose Westgate Beach, as it has so many happy memories for him and his family. Not being local, I hadn’t realised that this is one of the few beaches locally where the sea completely covers the sand at high tide, and at one point it looked like we might have to go for a paddle if we wanted to get any photos actually on the beach! Luckily we did manage to find some sand just around the corner, and I think you’ll agree it was worth looking for.

Dave’s daughter Lauren came along too, which added to the fun. She’s such a sweetie, and her energy was exhausting me just to watch! I think I found a way to tire her out at the end though!

Vikki and Dave will be marrying next August at St Peter’s Church in St Peter’s, Broadstairs, with a reception at the Walpole Bay Hotel, in Cliftonville. Vikki has to be one of the most organised brides I have ever met, and pretty much everything is now arranged. She’s also rather creative, and I know we are going to get some amazing photographs when their big day arrives.

As you can see, we had a beautiful afternoon, filled with sunshine, laughter, and lots of love.
