After the ceremony and after the couple have had a chance to greet all the guests, I like to take the opportunity to steal the couple away for a little while for a short photo shoot of just the two of them. If I’m really lucky, like I was at Debbie and Paul’s beautiful wedding at the Museum of Kent Life, I get a second opportunity for photos like this, after the meal and speeches, and before the evening guests arrive.

In the midst of all the fun, chaos and busyness of a wedding day it’s so lovely to take a moment out. For me, this photo speaks of a quiet moment in time. I love the serenity of it. The quiet peacefulness. And not seeing her face adds a certain mystery I think. And doesn’t she look so elegant?
